Sharp to begin manufacturing on American soil sooner than we think

Report said Reuters , the technology company Sharp could start building a factory in the United States worth $ 7 billion. One of Apple's suppliers, specifically Foxconn has also announced manufacturing plans earlier this year. According to the latest report the construction could be imminent, being spring or summer.

Sharp invests $ 7 billion

Apparently Sharp plans an investment of 7,000 million dollars for the construction of a plant screen LCD crystals, according to the Japanese executive agency Kyodo.
This project is part of the new business plan of companies, which are in the process of restructuring after being acquired late last August by the Taiwanese company Hon Hai , consisting as Foxconn and is known for producing the iPhone and Apple iPad.
This investment is announced before the trip to the United States by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who will meet with President Donald Trump, the purpose of this meeting is to formalize the industrial contribution and the creation of employment, among others ...

The goal is to start construction as soon as possible

Hon Hai also announced its investment strategy worth about 7.14 billion dollars, an amount that will be allocated to its expansion plans for Sharp, as indicated government sources of the Japanese agency , in order to start building in early 2017 the new plant in the United States, as well as start production in 2020. The project will include the participation of other Japanese companies in the sector, and the financing of Japanese banks.
Sharp, based in Osaka, also announced last December that they wanted to start construction of a large-scale plant worth $ 8.9 billion.
It is recalled that Foxconn last year took 66% of the shares of Sharp being the largest acquisition of a Japanese technology company by a foreign company.
