Steel and aluminum chassis will differentiate next models of iPhone

A new supply chain report supports existing reports of a line of three models for this year's iPhones, including a premium model that squeezes a 5.8-inch screen into the same external dimensions as a new 5.5-inch .
Previous rumors have suggested that only this high-end device would get the name of the iPhone 8, while the other two models would be labeled with the number 7 and surely some noun to differentiate it.

The new information has emerged from a report by Digitimes , which states that the 4.7-inch model will use the same aluminum alloy chassis as the iPhone 7 , while the high-end 5.8-inch device will count With the long design of reinforced glass and stainless steel design. The report has no information on the 5.5-inch model .
The stainless steel frame of the reinforced glass chassis will be supplied by Foxconn Technology and the American circuit Jabil, while the aluminum alloy chassis will be supplied by Catcher Technology. The report presented by Digitimes supports this, noting that Catcher has announced that it expects to see significant year-on-year revenue growth in 2017.
Rumors are increasingly pointing to a high-end 5.8-inch OLED model that is almost beveled , allowing it to match the external size of a more conventional 5.5-inch model. The new model also appears to be prepared to achieve considerably higher battery capacity, although it is unclear whether this will result in a longer battery life or will be consumed by the larger screen and other enhancements.

Apple is also working on several ways to integrate a fingerprint reader into an iPhone screen, although it is also said to be working on an iris scanner . To date they seem many innovations for the next device of the Cupertino, but for the tenth anniversary since its market, anything could happen.
