YouTube is updated and you can now control a video from the lock screen in iOS
Google has updated one of its most important applications, YouTube for iOS now will allow us to control the playback of videos from the lock screen. This is possible if you have a Chromecast or Apple TV via AirPlay.
Now you can control your videos or lists from your iPhone in the lock screen or control center
It's complicated when running AirPlay with our iPhone or iPad because sometimes the videos are often lost, forcing us to re-enter the YouTube app. This will no longer happen because you can raise and lower the volume, pause or go forward or backward in a playlist (if desired) from the Control Center.
It is also possible from an Apple Watch but with the ease of which you can control it directly via AirPlay. AppleInsider reports that this update is prudent and in good time by YouTube Network, since you can play videos in the background and offline.
YouTube Unplugged, a new format for live TV
There is a rumor that Google will launch a new live TV platform, with channels such as Sling TV or PlayStation Vue. They would announce it during the course of the year. Remember that YouTube receives a good share of the profits of Google, a 22% increase in revenue year after year along with Google searches and a profit of 26.02 billion dollars.
Hopefully Google will continue to work on future upgrades to improve, as testing this new feature does not show the content that is playing while the screen is locked. In the Control Center it does recognize that YouTube is running.
