IKEA and Apple will base the buying experience on augmented reality

As for the reliability of the images to be purchased in the application, Ikea's digital transformation manager Michael Valdsgaard has said:
Apple's augmented reality technology is so good that the positioning of the products will be millimeter-precise, with completely accurate sizes and lighting. It is expected to have 600 products available at launch, which have already begun to reproduce through rendering.
Although the initial plan is for the application to be available this fall in stores, Ikea representatives have stepped up their plans to extend the operation of the application outside of these.
