Mac and MacBook sales declined over previous year

The PC market has suffered a stagnation worldwide and within these statistics also include Apple computers. According to statistics released by Gartner , worldwide sales of computers have declined in the last eleven months, the lowest number since 2007.
However, compared to the decline in sales of other companies, Apple still reflects a stagnation in its numbers, an important fact, especially considering the value of its latest models.

Apple ranks fourth in the market in the sale of computers

On a general level, Gartner analyst Mikako Kitagawa points out as one of the causes of the decrease in the sale of these equipments the final price, although he explains that this is justified, in most cases:
The higher prices of PCs are due to the impact of the shortage of components for DRAMs, solid state drives (SSDs) and LCD panels, which has had a strong negative impact on PC demand in the second quarter of 2017.
In the case of Apple, the numbers are not very different from last year. During the second quarter of 2017, 4.24 million Macs were sold, while in the same quarter last year Apple sold 4.26 million Macs. In this sense, market growth translates into 6.9% from last year's 6.7%.
The previous data makes Apple own the fourth place in this market with 7.2% of sales. For its part, HP ranks first, followed by Dell and then Lenovo. Thus, within this unfavorable panorama within the sales of computers, HP and Dell are the only companies that have registered a continuous growth of their sales.
Overall, it is not a good time for computer sales, but Apple still has a considerable place in the list of best sellers, with hopes of recovery, thanks to the proposal of its new line of equipment . You'll make it?
