Apple announces that it has already sold more than 1200 million iPhone

Tim Cook announced today that Apple has sold more than 1200 million iPhone, a milestone reached in just a decade, as we started counting from June 18, 2007. The news was announced during the announcement of Apple's Q3 2017 earnings And comes a year after Apple revealed that it had sold 1000 million iPhone .
In July 2016, Apple confirmed that it had sold one billion phones to date , with Tim Cook promoting the device as one of the most important, changing and successful products in history. " In addition, this means that Apple has sold about 200 million iPhone in the last year, selling over 41 million units in the third quarter of 2017" .
This is what Cook said in today's earnings announcement regarding the iPhone:
"The iPhone results were impressive, with a particularly strong demand at the top end of our line. The iPhone 7 was our most popular iPhone and iPhone 7 Plus sales rose dramatically compared to 6s Plus in the June quarter of last year. The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus set has been strong this year . "
The figures speak for themselves, since a decade after the initial iPhone launch, the Californian company has surpassed the accumulated 1200 million iPhone sold.

Apple will also celebrate the iPhone's 10-year anniversary later this year, when it unveils the iPhone 8 (or whatever it may be called). The launch of that device will only increase sales of Apple units . It remains to see what acceptance has in the market this terminal that is presented now as the summer passes, expectations are many but the numbers will speak.
