Turn your Live Photos into GIFs with iOS 11

Apple introduced the Live Photos after the launch of the iPhone 6s in 2015. The show fell in love with everyone. Live Photos allow users to create animated images of 3 seconds duration that capture 1.5 seconds before capture and 1.5 seconds after the capture of the photograph.
Live Photos are compatible with iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone SE, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X.
Not GIFs, Live Photos have their own format, but if you want to share them as GIFs in this tutorial we will explain how . And thanks to the arrival of iOS 11, moving Live Photos to GIFs is easier than ever.

Transforming Live Photos to GIFs with iOS 11

Follow these steps to convert Live Photos from your photo albums to GIF format so you can share them in many more places:
1. Open the iOS 11 Photos app.
2. Select "Albums" from the lower right corner.
3. Then click on the "Live Photos" album.
4. Open the Live Photo you want to convert to GIF.
5. Once you have opened the image, slide your finger up from the bottom of the Live Photo to access an additional menu with effects and related elements.
6. Select one of the effects between the four options: Live, Loop, Rebound and Long exposure.
7. After selecting and applying the effect to your Live Photo, a new album will automatically be created in your native iOS 11 Photos application under the name "Animated".
And ready! The album "Animated" will only contain images in GIF format . So your Live Photo will have been converted to GIF with just a couple of steps. Now you just have to let your creativity and your imagination take flight.
