You can now share iCloud Drive "Family" thanks to iOS 11

Since September 19, we can now enjoy iOS 11, Apple's latest operating system for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. One of the advantages that we find is the ability to share our iCloud Drive space "In family"
Thanks to this new function, we will save a lot of money by having in a single family account all the contracted space shared with our relatives. We have 2 ways to do it , adding the space contracted by one of the relatives or simply joining the plan of the person in charge "In Family."
We only have the shared space, not the files. Thus, we maintain our privacy over all members of the family. In this way, we make sure that no file is seen by another member.

How to configure iCloud Drive "Family"

The procedure is really simple, the first thing we have to do is to have " iCloud Storage" activated in the section of "In family". Once we have shared it, our family members can join by entering their iCloud space.
For our relatives, they should enter their profiles from "Settings" , go to the iCloud section and confirm if they want to participate in the iCloud family plan . They can do this in two ways, adding the space they have contracted or reclining their current plan and accepting the "head of household" storage plan.
The process is immediate, no file type will be deleted. Automatically, the new space will be reflected in the section "Storage of iCloud" , where you can also check how much space each one is spending.
If the family member who joined our iCloud Drive plan had a contracted plan (and which they declined to join ours ), you will receive an invoice from Apple with the days you have been using it until the end of it.

In this case, you can see an example of how Apple has only charged the proportional part of the relative who agreed to join the iCloud family plan, failing to pay their monthly fee and applying only the days they have been using the service. The result is € 0.10.
As you see, it is a very simple procedure and which will help us to save money every month by grouping all our relatives in the same storage space of iCloud , but without sharing the files.
