How to troubleshoot the black screen of an iPhone 8

There is nothing more troubling than trying to turn on your iPhone (or your iPad) and the screen does not turn on. If you are here for that reason, do not panic. It has a solution.
Have you recently bought an iPhone 8 and your screen is black? There may not be many cases related to this problem, so Apple will not solve it urgently.
Instead of going to the nearest Apple Store to replace and / or repair your iPhone 8 . Why not solve the problem yourself?

Forced reset

It is possible that a forced restart of your device will cause the iPhone 8 to turn on again and the black screen will only be a bad memory.
To restore your iPhone 8 with the black screen try this:
1. Press and hold the Volume Up button for half a second and release. 2. Press and hold the Volume Down button for half a second and release it. 3. Press and hold the side button on your iPhone 8 until you see the Apple logo.
If it is not clear and you still do not know how to do it, you can visit our guide on how to enter DFU mode, recovery mode and forced restart of iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus.

We do not try to take you for naïve, but sometimes it happens. Is it possible that your iPhone 8 does not turn on because the battery is fully discharged? I've even been scared once in a while!
In fact, many users have reported that the iPhone 8 they had recently purchased had no battery . The only thing you will have to do in this case is to connect the USB cable Lightning to the power and wait for the iPhone 8 to turn on.

Recovery Mode

If none of the above solutions worked for you, you can try activating recovery mode.
1. Connect your iPhone 8 to your PC / Mac and make sure you open the latest version of iTunes software.
2. Press and hold the Volume Up button for half a second and release.
3. Press and hold the Volume Down button for half a second and release it.
4. Hold the side button for about 10 seconds until you see the logo to connect to iTunes.
You will see a window mentioning that the iPhone has a problem, from here you can update your software or restore the terminal. We recommend upgrading because you will reinstall the same version without deleting the data of your applications.
