Apple makes it clear: The Face ID will not be multi-user

As much as some would like it, there are things that definitely can not be. For some time now we have been commenting about the possibility of a Face ID with support for multiple users , as at the time the Touch ID had it ; To clarify the doubt, a user decided to ask directly to the correct person and this person responded.
In an email communication to the reddit user, Craig Federighi clarified that the iPhone is for a single person and thus the settings for access.

One user per iPhone

In his response, the head of software engineering, Craig Federighi, mentioned that Apple's current approach with Face ID is the authentication of a single user, which suggests that support for multiple faces will not be added in the near future.
Currently, we are focusing Face ID on single user authentication. Even Touch ID multi-tasking support was really meant to allow a single iPhone owner to unlock the device with a finger and a thumb on both hands, not to enable multi-user authentication.
With his response Federighi makes clear that at no time the comparison between the Touch ID and the Face ID has been valid, since it was never intended that the Touch ID was multiuser and this was, rather, an interpretation of the users .
Likewise, he added that Face ID could eventually authenticate multiple faces as the system evolves in the future, but his email makes it clear that Apple does not have immediate plans to implement such functionality.
And although for the moment and in the practical and common use the Face ID has proven to be very safe and reliable, at least for now, it seems that iPhone X owners can not extend this comfort to their relatives or trusted friends.
