Tim Cook in the list of the most influential characters of 2017

As usual, at the end of the year we began to see the names of the most influential people in the past twelve months. Such is the case of the Recode 100 list, where Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, has ranked fifth in the world's top 100 people in technology, business and media in 2017.
Without a doubt, his position has much merit. Under the tutelage of Cook, Apple's sales has again grown. For 2017 it is estimated that the company reports earnings of 238 billion dollars, 20 thousand more than in 2016.

Another achievement for Tim

This is how Recode introduces Apple's boss on his list.
Tim Cook is succeeding on an impossible mission. Be the next Apple CEO after the greatest product visionary of all time. However, six years after the death of his mentor Steve Jobs, Apple is thriving. And Cook is increasing his prominence as one of the most pleasant CEOs in the business world.
In the Recode 100, only exceed Cook: Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook, 4th), to change the way we consume news, and while making a gross amount of money; journalists Jodi Kantor, Megan Twohey and Ronan Farrow (3rd) for exposing Harvey Weinstein's history of sexual abuse and assault; Susan Fowler (Uber, 2nd) who with her plea uncovered the harsh reality behind Uber's leadership; and Jeff Bezos (Amazon, 1st) for, well, making Amazon the corporation that will dominate the next decade.
The era of Cook at Apple is taking its own course, and is taking Apple to new paths. Beyond the iPhone and the iPad, legacies of Steve Jobs. Cook, however, opted for the Apple Watch, which is largely dominate the market for smart accessories with innovative applications for health, not to mention the AirPods, which Recode out as "wonderful and exciting".
He is also leading the company into a new era where artificial intelligence and augmented reality will be the epicenter of business.
Finally, the publication recognizes Cook's leadership beyond Apple's businesses; as is the case of their efforts to promote equality and inclusion laws, to promote scientific learning, improve education, as well as educate about climate change through social platforms.
