Apple adds two new series to its television project

Despite rumors that Apple may be interested in buying Netflix , the Cupertino company remains focused on its plans to create its own on-demand video platform, and has added two new series to its growing list of projects.
The first of these series will be titled "Are You Sleeping?" , And is based on the novel of the same name by Kathleen Barber . According to Variety , it will be starring actress Octavia Spencer , winner of the Oscar for best supporting actress for her work in the film "Criadas y Señoras".
The new series has been created and written by Nichelle Tramble Spellman, and produced by Hello Sunshine, the producer of Reese Witherspoon, and by Chernin Ent / Endeavor Content.
Recall that Reese Witherspoon will also produce and star in another of Apple's projects, a series that will be developed in the world of morning television programs and will be co-starring Jennifer Aniston .
"Are You Sleeping?" Is a psychological thriller that tells the story of Josie Buhrman, the daughter of a man who was killed ten years ago, and whose case is reopened after the huge success of a podcast, causing him to face the demons of his past, and the lies on which he has based his life since then.

The other new project of Apple will be a documentary series that will be titled "Home" and that will offer us a tour through some of the most "extraordinary" houses in the world, showing us its interior, and offering us details about the people who conceived them and they built
According to Variety , the series will be composed, initially, of 10 episodes, each one of an hour long.
Apple's project to create an original content platform in streaming is taking shape little by little, and there are several series that are underway. In addition to "Are you Sleeping?", "Home", and the aforementioned series starring Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston, the company will also produce a reboot of Steven Spielberg's sci-fi series "Amazing Stories," inaddition to a space drama , still untitled, produced by one of the showrunners of Star Trek and Battlestar Galactica.
This first incursion of Apple in the world of the television has been carried out under the direction of two old executives of Sony Television , that the company hired several months ago, and that work under the orders of Eddy Cue.
We do not know when we can see all these series, nor whether Apple will issue them through Apple Music or if it will create a new platform for this content, but surely we will know more throughout this year.
