Apple confirms that sent the email change its iCloud servers to China some users mistakenly

These days, a change in the physical location of the data of some users of iCloud is giving a lot to talk about in the US. To comply with Chinese regulations, Apple must migrate all data from its users in that country to a Chinese data center, so that if a user for example takes a photo, it is saved on an iCloud server located in China. The government of that country does not want the data of its citizens to be available in data centers in other countries, fearing possible acts of espionage, among other reasons. That's why Apple is preparing to migrate the iCloud data of iPhone, iPad or iPod touch users who have China configured as the country of their Apple account, and thus ensure that this data is always in China.
For the end user, both in China and in any other country, this change represents absolutely no apparent change in the use of the iPhone or iPad. Simply, your data will be stored in another data center, without more ... but nothing will change when making backup copies of the iPhone via iCloud, or when saving your photos and other data. In any case, Apple sent an email to notify the change of location , supposedly only to users who have China configured as the country of their Apple account. The company now confirms that it sent that email wrongly also to other users with accounts from other countries .
Wrong email sent to iCloud users in other countries
This has been Apple's statement:
We are sorry that you have received this email. This message was intended only for users whose Apple account is set up for China. A very small number of users whose country configured in your Apple account is not China have also received this email in error.
So, if you have received this message and do not have an Apple account set up for China, even if you live in that country, do not worry. Your data will continue to spread throughout the rest of the planet.
