Apple could offer you an iPhone 6s Plus for your broken iPhone 6 Plus

If you have an iPhone 6 Plus with a major breakdown, Apple could offer you a change to a superior model, specifically an iPhone 6s Plus.
This information comes from the hand of MacRumors, where they have had access to an internal document in which Apple urges the distributors to offer this possibility in the cases they consider convenient.
This measure would be active until March of this year , where it would only be applied to terminals that need a complete repair. The distributor will be responsible for making the decision to offer the change and logically, the customer to accept it or not.

How could you change an iPhone 6 Plus?

iPhone 6 Plus Apple Hands
Normally, when we have to make a complete repair to our iPhone, Apple usually offers us the opportunity to receive a device called "replacement", for an amount of moneycompared to a new terminal.
"Orders for the full unit service inventory of some iPhone 6 Plus models can be replaced by an iPhone 6s Plus until the end of March 2018."
This would be the message that the Apple distributors would have received. This does not mean that all iPhone 6 Plus must be changed automatically. In the statement, Apple only offers the option if necessary, but does not force distributors to make the change.
This is usually applied when the repair is too expensive , giving the client the opportunity to take a terminal at that moment. I would only have to pay an amount lower than that of a new terminal, and so, not have to wait for the repair of the iPhone, in case it should.
In this case, Apple could offer a superior model , do not specify the available models or the specific reason. Everything seems to indicate that Apple no longer manufactures iPhone 6 Plus and they would have to restart the production line, according to MacRumors.
We understand a major repair , a repair on the logic board of the device or a Lightning connector in bad conditions (among others). So, at first, it would not be worth any breakdown for Apple to offer us the change to a superior model, in this case, an iPhone 6s Plus.
These changes usually have a cost for computers that have suffered an accident or are out of warranty , while if our iPhone is within the warranty and is shown to be a factory fault, the change would be free .
So if the MacRumors information is true and you have an iPhone 6 Plus , there is a possibility that Apple will replace it with an iPhone 6s Plus. As for the price, it could be free or with a reduction of the official value depending on the issues that we have commented previously.
