Apple says it will improve parental control of iOS devices in a future update

Yesterday we talked about an open letter to Apple, which had published a group of shareholders of the company, and which asked him to improve the parental control functions of iOS devices, arguing that they can have negative psychological effects on children , if they use them too much.
Apple's response has not been long in coming, and has issued a statement in which it says that there are already planned new functions and improvements for parental control, which will come in a future update .
In his statement, Apple points out that, in fact, all the content that a child could access online in iOS can be blocked by their parents. However, he says he has "new functions and improvements" planned to further improve parental control in the future:
"We think deeply about how our products are used, and the impact they have on users and the people around them , " Apple said in its statement. "We take this responsibility very seriously and are committed to meeting and exceeding our customers' expectations, especially when it comes to protecting children."

In addition, the company adds that it is constantly looking for ways to improve its devices, and that is why it is planning new functions that will make the tools that parents will have "even more robust" .
Of course, for now we do not know what will be the specific functions that Apple plans to add to parental control, and if it will take into account the suggestions of the shareholders' open letter, which talked about functions that would limit the time of use , or the hours at which certain pages could be visited, in addition to allowing you to monitor how your children use an iPhone or iPad.
As you know, at present iOS already has a parental control that allows you to activate certain restrictions on your children's phones, such as deactivating features such as Siri, FaceTime or the ability to install or delete applications without the consent of their parents.
For now we will have to wait to see what new functions Apple will add to parental control, but at least we know for sure that the company is working in this area.
