Soon we can control Whirlpool appliances from our Apple Watch

This week the Consumer Electronics Fair, better known as CES , is taking place , which is being held in Las Vegas, like every year in January and, as usual, there are many innovations that the major electronics brands are presenting.
Among these developments, there is one that will interest those who have an Apple Watch , as the appliance firm Whirlpool has announced that more than twenty of its products can be controlled through Apple's smart watch this year .
This will be possible thanks to a new application of Whirlpool for watchOS , which will allow us to remotely control several functions of smart appliances, connected by Wi-Fi, such as washing machines, dryers and ovens.

As expected, the functionality of the application will vary depending on the appliance that we are using. These are some examples of things we can do with our Apple Watch:
  • Ovens: check temperature, change parameters during the cooking cycle
  • Washers: change the type of washing cycle when the appliance is in use
  • Dryers: check that the cycle has begun, see how much work time you have left
This is the first time that an appliance manufacturer has made its smart products work with the Apple Watch. Previously, it was possible to do it with an iPhone or an iPad, but not with the clock.
Users of Whirlpool's smart home appliances will also be able to control them this year using voice commands with Alexa , from Amazon, and Google's Google Home . Now we just need to be able to do it through Siri , especially if we take into account that HomePod is falling.
